 I starting running in the 5th Grade. Ran XC and Track throughout middle school and high school. Also, ran track in college at SIUE. After college, I started to run Halfs & /Fulls. After a few years, I put running on pause and put life as top priority. Five years ago, I decided to get back into running shape. Two years ago I started to run Ultras as a new challenge and a break from road running. Today, I run 5-6 times a week and run multiple races a year.

 I’ve been running since I was a kid. I grew up with a coach as a dad and ran through high school and college.  I continue to run to this day.  I have a pretty full life with 5 kids and an amazing girlfriend that supports a lot of my crazy running.

Goal for the year:  Break 3 hours for a marathon

Pre-race breakfast: Peanut butter bagel and banana for a marathon. Anything out the door for a 5k

 I didn’t start running until my youngest was 3 and my friend said “Hey let’s run a half marathon!”  I’m a teacher, cross country coach, Girls on the Run coach, mother and girlfriend.  My life is crazy busy at times but I still find time to get my run in...to keep me sane!!

Goal for the year:  Beat my last marathon time :)

Self made runner. I started running after I had kids and got hooked. I got into coaching (track & cross country) and it snowballed from there. I've done everything from 5ks to marathons, relays, triathlons.

Goal for the year:   To get healthy enough to get back to racing 

Favorite Race:   Route 66 10K! It's always a challenge, you never know what the weather will be like! The spirit stations are a HUGE help! And Metro Milers do such a great job of hosting!
